This policy explains what information Virgil’s Small Engine Repair (“we”, “us”) collects at vbmower.com and in the work order app at vbmower.com/app, and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash) when you subscribe.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive only limited details such as the last four digits, card brand and billing status.
  • Your shop’s data: work orders, customer names and phone numbers, equipment photos, time entries and parts that you enter into the app.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and cookies needed to keep you logged in.

How we use it

  • To provide the app and your membership, and to send account and billing messages.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.
  • To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your shop’s customer data for advertising.

Your shop’s customer data

The customer information you enter into the app belongs to you. We store it only to run the service for you. Each shop can see only its own data. You are responsible for having a right to collect the information you enter about your customers.

Who we share information with

Only service providers needed to run the site: our web host (NameHero), Stripe for payments, and email delivery. We may disclose information if required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to process membership checkout. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention and deletion

If your membership ends, your data is kept so you can come back, and is deleted on request. To have your account and data deleted, email vbiersch@gmail.com.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to each shop’s data is restricted to that shop’s logins. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
